Exact relationship between these Bohlaender families is not known. The men of these families seemed to be blacksmiths. There are more Bohlaenders in Rohrbach that are not included in this list. Even though Johann Dieter descendants were born in the Glueckstal Colonies during the 1850s and would be expected to appear in the 1858 census, they instead appeared in the Odessa census [Od-253].
